I am a Human Resources Professional with over two decades of leadership experience in all facets of HR . I possess a strong ability to constantly balance the demands of several different roles: business partner, internal consultant, operational and administrative expert and both employee and employer advocate.
A highly disciplined individual never losing sight of where I am going or how I will get there. Being focused I continually put one foot in front of the other and know there are specific actions that must be done to finish the job at hand. I am extremely persistent and approach obstacles from different directions until I find what works, but I don’t quit. If things are not working I know that I can change my behaviour and move towards the desired outcome.

Chief Strategy Officer
I am the Managing Director of Blackwood Strategy Services in Canberra and operate as Imperfectionism’s Chief Strategy Officer part-time. Following a distinguished three decade long career in the Australian Public Service (APS) and the higher education sector, I am now committed to helping young managers unleash their leadership capability.
I bring a wealth of experience in strategic planning processes and work with a diverse group of organisations in developing, reviewing and KPI monitoring their strategic plans, from small community groups through to university faculties, while providing high-quality drafting services for plans and documents in development.
In addition to supporting strategy development for Imperfectionism I also work with clients to provide management coaching and career goal setting (one-to-one and workshops) for next generation leaders, and executive and management mentoring for people who feel in need of a professional refresh or uplift. I also sit on various selection panels as an external expert.
